He comes in the lushness of midsummer, his music beating in both slave and lord like a second pulse. Miracles follow him on this day; there is a spring running sweet with wine below the twisted apple tree, and another spring issuing forth milk beside it, and beside that a spring of clean, sweet water. The taps in the Mansion all run red with wine

Florence is not a boy much given to revelry, but he's not going to pass up perfectly good wine. He sits on the porch steps with it, and watches the goings-on with bright dark eyes.

Pansy yawns, politely covering her mouth. She also takes a seat on the porch steps, crossing her ankles as she takes a dainty sip of wine. "Hmm."

He looks over with a quick smile. "Good day, my lady."

She looks at him in mild surprise. "Oh, hello, there. Are you not partaking in this... party?"

Florence laughs. "I don't know yet. I've only just arrived."

[slythelegance]

She twirls a bit of hair around her finger. "It looks rather... eh."

[floweredknight]

"Do you think so?" surprised, but polite.

[slythelegance]

"Yeah." She shrugs. She isn't interested at all. Really. Not at all.

[floweredknight]

"I like it well," he confesses, ducking his head briefly. His smile is guileless and a little shy. "But perhaps such things are -- quieter, where you come from, my lady?"

Pansy chuckles dryly. "Oh, please, quiet is something I've come to appreciate after living at Hogwarts. This is boring compared to what I've seen." Still, there is a hint of a wistful smile.

"Oh." He only misses a beat. "Well. We're only country folk, really, at home, so it's as I'm used to."
