There is an unconscious man on the floor, with what appears to be a canvas snake on his head.

Don't go assuming it's a turban that someone has unwound. Turbans haven't got scales painted on, and for that matter, they're not attached to what looks like a great, spotted pair of long underwear (if you were generous, you might call it the front part of a very bad leopard costume).

The man wakes slowly, groaning. "Where is yours truly?" he asks the Mansion in general.

Typist: Please welcome Sir Palomides, the saracen knight. He is taken more or less exclusively from T.H. White's The Once and Future King, at the part where he and Sir Grummore had dressed up as the Beast Glatisant to get King Pellinore out of a funk. So far, he hasn't met Isolde, or for that matter met Arthur, and he certainly hasn't seen everything hit the fan the way the rest of the Arthurians here have.
