Jakabok has been freed from his book (thanks to David Talbot and Susan Pevensie - the double freedom will be explained by him being converted back to a book in between because of some fault in the mansion's magic and it could happen again at any time

Miranda gasps to see him, but as she stares, which she does for a long while, she does not necessarily betray any fear.

He hears the gasp and feels someone staring at him. He turns to look at her. His voice is more polite than menacing. "Hello?"

"Hello," she replies hesitantly.

"What is your name?"

[topofadmiration]

"Miranda."

[jakabokbotch]

"People call me Mister B."

[topofadmiration]

"Art thou human?"

[jakabokbotch]

That makes him laugh quietly. "Do I look human to you, girl?" He could maybe pass for it if he were fully clothed but as he is, he wouldn't expect anyone to believe him human.

"I did know one of thy monstrous aspect," she says uncertainly. "But he was a witch's son."

"My parents were both demons so what do you think that makes me?"

[topofadmiration]

"A demon."

[jakabokbotch]

"That does not frighten you?"

[topofadmiration]

"I do not know. I have not ever known a demon."

[jakabokbotch]

"You have not been told anything about us either?" He asks in curiosity then he smiles. "Although it is better to judge for oneself from experience."

She shakes her head.

"Tell me more about yourself."
