As if she'd never been "missing," (which from her point of view she hasn't been), Marguerite Blakeney returns to the Mansion. She arrives bundled in a heavy cloak against the cold, her elaborately-dressed hair mussed by the wind, but with a glow to her cheeks and a sparkle in her bright blue eyes.

She looks around the main room expectantly, hoping ( Read more... )

This is a Lucivar, looking rather asleep in the main room, leaned back with his eyes closed until she comes in, upon which his eyes snap open and he turns his had to look at her very intently, his wings rustling a little in agitation.

There is a resemblance between Marguerite and her younger brother. Her features are much more refined and delicate. She doesn't quite notice the wings, though she reacts to the sound of them.

Sweeping the cloak off to drape over her arm, she turns to him. "Are you startled, monsieur? I didn't think my entrance was that dramatic." And she smiles, since she knows exactly what dramatic should look like.

Lucivar examines her face carefully and tilts his head, golden eyes boring into her with his characteristically intent curiosity. "No, not particularly. Just curious. Are you related to Armand St. Just?"

She's never seen eyes like that, and she studies him more closely, now noticing the wings. Her eyes widen just a little. "I am. He's my younger brother. I'm Marguerite Blakeney. How do you know him?"

Lucivar stretches his wings a little and tilts his head a little farther. "Oh, you're his older sister," he says, sounding a little amused. "Mutual friends, you could say, I suppose."

"I'm always glad to meet more of Armand's friends. He tries so very hard to make as many as he can." She smiles, though it is a little practiced. "You've heard of me then? He speaks of me?"

Lucivar notices the practiced smile and narrows his eyes suspiciously. "Not to me, much. But I've heard about him from K - a sort of cousin of mine."

Don't blame her. She doesn't remember ever meeting a man with wings before!

Her smile grows a little more genuine as she relaxes some. "So he knows your cousin as well?"

Lucivar looks just plain amused. "Very well," he says dryly, looking a bit uncomfortable remembering.

Something about his tone worries her slightly. "He's good at making friends," she repeats.

His eyebrows lift slightly. "I should say so."

"Pray be honest, monsieur. What are you not telling me?"

"Your brother's picked up a second - admirer," Lucivar says, a little dryly, tilting his head back again and half closing his eyes.

"How--no, I should ask him more then. Merci." She shakes her head. "Do you know where I can find him?"
