(no subject)
Shinou is outside, staring across the lake. He raises a hand and a small circle of the water starts bubbling then creates a small whirlpool. He smiles in satisfaction then lets the water settle again.
He then turns to the nearby bank.
Over a dry spot he makes a similar motion and a tiny whirlwind rises up, picking up grains of dirt and gravel. Again with a sweep of his hand it settles back to be still once more.
He looks even more pleased with himself and raises his hand again.
A shrub catches on fire.
He raises his other hand toward the lake, invisibly lifting some of the water to drop over the plant and put out the fire.
He nods to himself and turns again to stare across the lake, looking thoughtful.
