Second Annual Holiday Fair

Nobody knows quite how it started, but soon it's unmistakable. Once again the stalls and tables have begun to cluster on the lawn, some of them bedecked with streamers and decorations, all of them laden with interesting things. This table is draped with a bright-colored cloth, and laid out at one end with embroidered linens: napkins, towels, tablecloths, pillowcases, with intricate floral patterns or network designs in shining colors. At the other end are several batches of something resembling gingerbread, and a pot of hot cocoa.
