We'll pretend that Edgar's typist didn't vanish and then get sick and thus abandon his thread with Zara--Edgar has actually been working on building a bed for Zara in secret, and he is alarmed to find that she has gone missing. Accordingly, he knocks at Mordred's door less than an hour after he reads the notice.

It is in fact Mordred who answers it, with wet hands and a harassed look. "Hi."

"Good day, sir--are you Mr. Mordred?" And Edgar is enough of a scholar to find the name intensely disconcerting. "I had been led to understand that Zara had gone missing--"

Typist: Hi, notifications, you fail at existing. *facepalm*

The address, in spite of his general foul temper, gets a brief half smile. "That's right. Last I saw her she'd broken her wrist. She hasn't been by since, and she's not at her house."
