He wanders in with a red nose and sniffles loudly. His voice is hoarse, and it's obvious he has a cold.

'Can anybody tell me where to get some Pepperup Potion around here? I have no idea where Hermione is or how to even make the stuff.'

"I-- I am afraid I do not know what that is." Ada does tentatively offer a handkerchief, though.

He pulls a raggy handkerchief from his pocket. 'Thanks anyway, I've got my own.'

"Oh, yes, of course, if you are certain," she says, giving the handkerchief an uncertain look. Of course, one cannot comment on such things-- it would be impolite.

He hastily shoves it back in his pocket. It's clean, just raggy, but it doesn't quite look it.

'Pepper-Up. It's the awful stuff that takes care of colds. I'll only take it if I need it, and I reckon I do now.'

"I am afraid I don't know. But if you will pardon my suggesting, when I would catch cold, Esther would send me to bed. Perhaps it might be wise?"
