Teddy had been snogging cousin Victoire! Snogging! Mild disgust was once again at war with hysterical giggles. Al just hadn't understood what was so funny, but he was a boy so of course he wouldn't. Maybe, just maybe she didn't even blame him. And then promptly giggled again.
She looked out the window as she tried to stiffle her giggles, and from

"... Daddy?!? What are you doing here?"

'Sorry, I'm not your -' But then he realises that this girl might just be his daughter, having been told earlier of her existance. He isn't sure what to say, so he tells her what he's doing.
'I was just getting some lunch.'
Reply
"But why are you here, you know, in Hogsmeade, if lunch was all you wanted? Doesn't the Ministry cafeteria have lunch?"
She still thinks she's somehow in a side room to Hogsmeade station...

'This isn't Hogsmeade. I wish it was - At least I know where that is - but I'm not even sure if we're in Britain anymore.'
As for the comment on the Ministry, he's still baffled as to what to say. Daughter? Ministry? Mummy? What is going on?

"What do you mean, this isn't Hogsmeade? And don't be silly, of course we're still in Britain, Daddy!"
Only then does it occur to her that Daddy... well, he doesn't look like Daddy. He looks like all the pictures of him, Mum and Uncle Harry when they were in school.

'I mean Hogsmeade is a lot more interesting than this place, and there are a lot more wizards, and I have no idea where this mansion we're in is. I really don't. I wish I did, but I don't.'
He bites his lip awkwardly. 'But I guess if you need anything, I'm uh ... I'm here for you.'

"But... Daddy? Why do you look like all the pictures of you and Mummy and Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny? You know, from before? Have we been kidnapped? What's going on?"
Clearly, she gets the endless question-asking tendency from her Mum...

'I don't know why things are the way they are, and I wish I had the answer, I really do. But we're both here in our own way.' He sighs. 'I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.'
Despite the distress, he's fairly sure he's seen a bit of himself in this girl, and perhaps a bit of Hermione. It's both terrifying and pleasing all at once.

"But what do we do now? What about my things? My books... My broom!"

He wishes he knew how to comfort her, but this whole situation is as baffling to him as it is to her.

Well... everything that Mummy doesn't know, actually. She wouldn't normally be caught dead holding Mummy's or Daddy's hand, because big girls just don't do that. Today... is an exception, and she reaches out for Daddy's hand.

'You'll get a room, I promise. It works out. There's loads of things here, everything you need. The pantry in the kitchen -,' he nods to the door he had earlier been heading for, 'is always stocked with your favourite things. I can't say I know what those are, but you can pick and choose.'

"Really?!?"
And then she promptly starts tugging on his hand, trying to drag him toward the kitchen. It seems her appetite is no less legendary than her Daddy's...
"... Well, come on, Daddy! I'm hungry!"
Reply
'What did you have in mind? I was going for a ham sandwich myself.'

Definitely has a sweet tooth, that one.
