A bit of help

Molly isn't quite sure who to ask, but luckily, she's not shy. So currently, she's looking for someone who might be able to shed some light on Denis' current enchantment. (And, perhaps, also a certain Mr. Kohlrabi, to organzie a picnic. Tom needs cheering up.) Helpful and unhelpful responses welcome.

A certain Mr. Kohlrabi is certainly available. She'll find him reading if she goes onto the porch.

She's looking worried, but does smile when she sees him. "Good day, sir."

He looks up. "Good day, child."

[youngandhealthy]

"Are ye well?" She comes to be near him.

[heartofbirds]

"Yes, quite well. How are you?"

Lies all lies. His stomach is hurting him and he has dark circles under his eyes; but as always his manner is so confident and certain that you believe him anyway.

She sits, and leans her head on his knee. "Aye."

[heartofbirds]

He lays his hand upon her hair, gently. "Is something wrong?"

[youngandhealthy]

"Nay, save with my friends. One is grieved, another bewitched."

[heartofbirds]

"I'm very sorry to hear that. What's happened?"

[youngandhealthy]

"Tom's been left, by someone he loved. And I don't know what happened to Denis. I've not been able to find it."

[heartofbirds]

"Ah, that is hard."

[youngandhealthy]

"But... still. Things could be worse." She looks up. "Would you still like a picnic?"

[heartofbirds]

"Of course. I would be only too glad."

[youngandhealthy]

"I think it would ease Tom, if nothing more. And the weather's still so fair."

[heartofbirds]

"Certainly. Only tell me what you'd like me to do, and I shall endeavour to perform it."

[youngandhealthy]

"It needn't be much. Just a bit of food outdoors."
