A call for assistance

Richard Carstone and Ada Clare are sitting near a sign on the bulletin board in the main room. It reads, simply:

If there is any individual whose facility with magic would allow for the restoration of a lost memory, and would be inclined to offer their services, I would be most grateful and certainly willing to discuss any form of reimbursement

"Thou'rt determined to do ill by thyself, sir," Ragnelle says, pausing before him. Her hands aren't on her hips, but she gives that air.

He's cured, or at least of the memory charm. But he still looks pale and shaken. "Could I avoid it, ma'am, I would do so."

"Ay, ay, I know thou wouldst." She touches his cheek lightly with the back of her hand. "Yet thou hast one magic on thee after another."

"...it seems so." Says the man still with three spells on him.

Which was why she touched him; she can feel them all in their separateness when she does that. "Nay, it is. Hast thou sought my cousin?"

[jarndyceheir]

"No, my lady," he says quietly.

[inglewoodblues]

"Then even yet canst thou not be loved? Sir, must find a one who can take these from thee."

[jarndyceheir]

"I can - there is one who still loves me, and that is enough, for the present." He's still a bit shaken, but trying to be steady.

T: We are utterly assuming Ada is not here anymore for this conversation...

"That is not enough," a touch sternly. "'Tis ill for thee to be so enchanted, though the effects have lost their potentcy. It is on thee and I can feel it; cause enough to seek it gone."

"But - " He pauses. "Yes, ma'am."

[inglewoodblues]

"It will do thee much good to be free of it." She kisses his cheek lightly.

[jarndyceheir]

He hesitates, but nods, not liking to contradict her.

Oh, he can contradict her all he wants. <3 Ragnelle will just point out why he's wrong. She gives him an encouraging smile. "Do thee good," again.

"But it may do others harm," he finally says.

[inglewoodblues]

"How sayest thou?"

[jarndyceheir]

He looks down. "The lady I do love... she is happier, for not loving me."
