She doesn't know where she is but she's fairly sure she doesn't approve of it.

Enter: a young lady with a wonderful profile. She's willowy, blonde, imperious, and very well and expensively dressed in a 1930s-intellectual kind of way. She sweeps in confidently, tugging at one glove as she walks, then comes to an abrupt halt as she takes in her surroundings. This isn't Bumpleigh Hall. How could it not be Bumpleigh Hall? And here's a Warlord Prince, whose first reaction to being accosted is to snarl at the lady in question, before stepping back and staring at her very odd appearance and becoming merely puzzled. "What?" he asks, perhaps just a bit snappishly.

Frostily, "I was about to inquire where I am, but if common courtesy is too much to expect in return I shan't."

A little baring of the teeth and a very stiff bow. "You may inquire, Lady, but I'm afraid I haven't an answer for you."

Both bow and form of address she takes as her due; what bothers her is this continued vagueness on the part of everyone she meets about their location. "But how have we all come here?"

"Magic, I assume. It certainly wasn't voluntary on my part."

"'Magic'? Really."

A very wry smile, and a little bit of amusement in his voice. "Really."

"What nonsense everyone here does talk."

The corner of Aaron's mouth twitches a little. "You being a landen, I suppose you would think so, wouldn't you? I've never met your type. Thought they were legendary."

"That would be an excellent example of what I mean when I say nonsense, yes. 'Landen'?"

"Non-Blood." He raises one eyebrow and calls in his Jewels, using a little bit of magic to lift her about six inches off the floor.

Gasp. Inarticulate yelp. Thoroughly unnecessary attempt to make sure her skirts stay down.

"Put me down this instant!"

He tilts his head at her and the eyebrow sketches a little further. "Certainly, Lady." He sets her back down, but doesn't vanish his Jewels.

This? This is the Craye temperment coming out. Lord Worplesdon is wont to bellow and chase the unfortunate objects of his wrath around with hunting crops when he's lost his temper; Florence, as a young lady, is limited to flashing eyes and a cutting tone of voice, but by everything bloodsome she dashed well makes the most of both. Her tone could scratch diamonds.

"How dare you!"

His eyes chill a little. "I beg your pardon, Lady," he says in a much less cordial tone.

"So you certainly ought to! I don't know the customs of whatever benighted locality has the misfortune to claim you as its own, but where I come from it isn't customary for gentlemen to manhandle young ladies with cheap parlor tricks, especially without first asking permission!"
