She doesn't know where she is but she's fairly sure she doesn't approve of it.

Enter: a young lady with a wonderful profile. She's willowy, blonde, imperious, and very well and expensively dressed in a 1930s-intellectual kind of way. She sweeps in confidently, tugging at one glove as she walks, then comes to an abrupt halt as she takes in her surroundings. This isn't Bumpleigh Hall. How could it not be Bumpleigh Hall? Lynette almost shies away, but manages to catch herself and say, apologetically, "Yes, sera?"

The jumpiness and apologetic tone make Florence assume she's some sort of parlourmaid, but though she's usually on the sharpish side with servants she's fond herself in rather an awkward situation here. Her tone's a little brisk but not actually rude as she says, "Good afternoon. I...It's rather odd, but I seem to have come here by mistake. Can you tell me where I am, please?"

"I don't know, sera. It's Earth. That's all we figured out."

"Well, yes, of course it's Earth. What do you mean, 'figured out'?"

"When we got here, sera. We didn't know."

"Do you mean we've all been kidnapped?" Not that this makes sense, but it makes a little more sense than no explanation at all. "Why do you keep calling me Sarah?"

Argh, spazzing born-man. Lynette tightens herself so she won't start slipping into blankness. "It's a title, sera. Like Lady."

"Ah." Well, that at least makes sense. "In what language?"

"I don't know, sera. I don't know languages. I have no deeptape for it."

Florence doesn't understand a word Lynnette is saying, and she opens her mouth to say so before it strikes her that the girl may be soft in the head. Honestly, who doesn't know what language they're speaking in? She nods crisply (it's always best to be decisive when you're feeling uncertain, Florence believes) and says, "Well. Never mind, then. What is your name?"

"Lynette, sera."

"Well, Lynette, I am Lady Florence Craye." If this were a visit at a country house, she would add here which room she was staying in and whether she had any special requirements for the polishing of her shoes, in the confidence that whichever servant was responsible would get the message. As it was... "I would appreciate it, if you learn more of why we are all here or how we might return, if you would let me know. Now, is there anyone in particular I ought to speak with? Anyone in charge, I mean?"

"Yes, sera," softly. Commanding is better. That she knows how to cope with. "I don't know. I don't think anyone is in charge."

That makes two of them, then. Florence sighs a bit, exasperated. "Very good, then." Dismissed, her voice says.
