With a thump, there is a new arrival in the mansion, falling out of mid-air into the main room, and thinking that he oughtn't have entered that particular doorway. He's not sure what happened, but he's hoping that he won't get in trouble for it, it's only his second week at Hogwarts after all

Tonks (who is giving up on any pretense of having any occupation or reason to be in the Mansion's front rooms) frowns. "Don't tell me, kid, you're lost and looking for Hogwarts, right?"

[little_asp]

He frowns, "No." Although the uniform might tell lie to his words.

[metamorphette]

She grins. "So you're just wearing those school robes for kicks, is it? What's your name, kid?"

[little_asp]

He lifts his chin, "Albus." People usually make a fuss of him once they hear his surname, so he doesn't give it, "Who're you?"

[metamorphette]

"Named for Dumbledore, were you? A lot of kids were, right after--but you look a bit old for that. Anyway!" She puts out her hand, still grinning. "Nice to meet you, young or old Albus. My name's Tonks."

[little_asp]

He hides a pout, sharing a name with so many other kids is not very fun. "Like Teddy's Gran?" Assuming, child-like, that everyone knows who he knows.

[metamorphette]

She blinks. "Whose which? I'm--did you say Teddy?"

[little_asp]

"Teddy's gran." He frowns a little, "Why do you want to know?" He's rather protective of his family, adopted or otherwise.

[metamorphette]

"I have a son named Teddy," Tonks replies slowly, "and my mum would be his gran, and her name certainly is Tonks, so I...I suppose so...how do you know Teddy?"

[little_asp]

"He's my Dad's godson." He doesn't bother elaborating. "But Teddy's Mum is dead, so's his Dad. So he's not your Teddy at all." The 'he's mine' goes unsaid, but it's certainly insinuated, he doesn't want strange people stealing his cousins away!

[metamorphette]

Tonks runs a hand through her pink hair, standing it up on end. "Who did you say your dad was? Harry," she adds to herself, "is definitely not old enough to have kids."

[little_asp]

Shows what you know! "Harry Potter. Do you know him? I haven't seen you before." He has seen the pink hair before, but a few muggles have weird hair, he's learnt not to assume that they're all related.

[metamorphette]

"'Course I know him!" she says. "I know him well enough that Remus and I made him our son's godfather, didn't we? But he can't be your father."

[little_asp]

A disbelieving look, "Why not? Because I'm in Slytherin, right?"

[metamorphette]

She frowns. "No! Of course not. I didn't know you were in Slytherin until just now. I only meant, because the kid's just eighteen, and you're--how old are you?"

[little_asp]

"..Oh. I'm eleven. But he's still my Dad, even if he doesn't remember me."
