Looking a little surprised to see him, Draco greets him cordially, "Sir... How have you been?"

"Well enough." He gestures to the notice. "So?"

[dracoslytherin]

He manages to looks slightly ashamed and subdued at that, like a little boy gone a bit far out of his depth. "I am.. trying to find out where some people stand on certain gender issues."

"For what purpose?"

[dracoslytherin]

"I'm... doing it on behalf of someone else," he says evasively.

[prof_ssnape]

He decides not to press the point. "Well, you did call out for 'each and every one of you'. I presume that includes me."

[dracoslytherin]

He nods hesitantly then asks, "Do you think the women here are oppressed?"

[prof_ssnape]

"Why do you suppose one would think that?"

[dracoslytherin]

"I was told so."

[prof_ssnape]

"By whom?"

[dracoslytherin]

He takes a breath and looks down. "... General Jinjur. She appointed me her second in command."

"And do you agree that the women here are, as you put it, being oppressed?"

[dracoslytherin]

"They may be. That's what I'm trying to figure out."

[prof_ssnape]

"I see. It seems markedly unlikely, to my thinking, but that is, I suppose, the point of the exercise."
