Draco walks into the mansion looking a little confused - as though he's lost something. He starts peering at the faces of anyone nearby in a searching manner and muttering under his breath. He clearly looks irritated.

Typist: He's not reset (not yet anyway) but he is back. Same typist. Feel free to have anyone talk to him!

"There you are." Narcissa's voice is cool, and her gaze is calm, but it's likely obvious to her son that she was worried about him. "Where did you disappear to?"

[dracoslytherin]

"I was in London, mother."

[golden_line]

"Oh?" An eyebrow is raised. "And what in London was so important you did not feel the need to leave word to your parents?" One of her slender hands reaches out to lightly and briefly touch his cheek, a small gesture of affection in this relatively public place.

Typist: Sorry Draco. I've been rereading HBP-- it's making her even more protective >.

He raises an eyebrow. "I'm supposed to tell you my every move?" Despite the words, he sounds more pleased than anything else that she cared to know.

[golden_line]

She smiles slightly. "Perhaps not every move, no. But the important ones would be appreciated."

[dracoslytherin]

"I just.. stayed away longer than expected. We're often in London."

[golden_line]

"Is everything well?"

[dracoslytherin]

He frowns slightly, clearly worried. "I.. don't know. I seem to have lost Potter along the way."

[golden_line]

The eyebrow goes back up. "'Lost' him, Draco? However would you do that?"

[dracoslytherin]

"We were Apparating back here together but... he's not here."

[golden_line]

She frowns slightly, not quite allowing the worry to crack the calm facade, but to Draco, it should be quite apparent. "He'll be turning up soon, I'm sure..."

[dracoslytherin]

"He'd better be," he says in a firm voice but he continues to look worried. He purses his lips slightly then looks at her again. "How... have you been, mother?"

[golden_line]

She lets her hand rest casually on his arm, but it's obviously a gesture of comfort. "Quite well. Your father and I have been hoping you might stop to visit... perhaps to see your brother, as well." There's no obvious change in her voice, but it's now hopeful, with a slight tinge of disapproval.

[dracoslytherin]

He tenses slightly at mention of his brother but he nods. "When are you both free?"

[golden_line]

She notices this, and very lightly squeezes his arm. "Whenever you would like to come by."

[dracoslytherin]

"Next week then? ... Is father well too? I haven't seen him for quite some time."
