Somehow, in between periods of moping over the Ada crisis and avoiding the gentleman, Tom found out that Rosier was gone. He was, of course, delighted at this piece of news and had a small, celebratory glass of wine. It turned out to be a very good vintage and he couldn't resist pouring another glass to toast such excellent fortune. The two celebratory glasses soon turned into three celebratory glasses and before Tom knew it he had to get a new celebratory bottle. He has since removed himself to the mansion grounds, bottle in hand, and made his way to his usual tree. Drinking and climbing probably wasn't a good idea but he doesn't care. He's just perched on a branch like a very drunk, very happy, very loud bird. And he's singing 'Rule Britannia' very badly but very emotionally. And with Tom, emotions are everything. He is happy and the world should know it.
He'd love to share his newfound joy (and the wine) with anyone who would happen to pass by.
