Tom is out doing outdoorsy Tom-ish things. He sees Edgar and does a double-take. "...Mr. Huntly?"

He blinks, and then gives a joyful shout of relief, quickening his pace. "Mr. Jones! Oh, Mr. Jones, I feared I had gone beyond all reach of humanity!"

"Are you all right? What in God's name happened to you?"

[edgar_huntly]

"I must have--" He hesitates. "I think that I have been sleepwalking again, and yet my senses and memory assure me that I have been some manner of animal for weeks on end. I am therefore not certain what in God's name happened to me."

"An animal...? I was told that I spent some time as one too."

[edgar_huntly]

He had been so convinced that he was going mad--and now, with something between horror and hope, he asks, "Can such things ... happen, Mr. Jones?"

"They can and do quite frequently here, sir. I have been a woman and a child as well."

[edgar_huntly]

"A woman?"

[notallworthy]

"Yes. It was... odd to say the least."

[edgar_huntly]

"So very odd--I confess, I had doubted the tales of wizardry, but now I may be forced to believe them--" And abruptly, Edgar is going to realize that he is naked and move to cover himself with an almost-squeaked, too-hasty "Iapologizeformystatesir--"

Tom properly looks away and hands Edgar his coat. "Here."

[edgar_huntly]

"I do apologize--it's simply with the ... being an animal--"

Typist: Tom got to be wearing clothes when he changed back because the gentleman is possibly the only entity in DF sexless enough not to want to see Tom naked.

"Quite all right, sir. Shall we go in? I can get you some new clothes."

Typist: Thank goodness.

[edgar_huntly]

"I would be most grateful for that, thank you." He follows Tom.

Tom started walking towards the mansion, trying to act like this was all routine. "So... how are you settling in, Mr. Huntly?"

[edgar_huntly]

"I do not recall that I had very much time to settle in before I was ... changed." Gamely pretending this is normal as well.
