The Doctor Is [IN]

There is, at the top of the main staircase, a heavy oak door with a frosted glass panel, like a monochrome sunset, over the frame. On the door, at eye level, is a brass nameplate. “Ariane Emory, Pysch.,” it says, in deeply engraved letters

Gawain knocks on the doorframe, politely standing on the hallway side of the open door. "Doctor Emory? Do you have a moment?"

Ari sets her book down on her lap. "Sure I do," she says, cheerful and smiling, "What did you need?"

Gawain steps inside the office easily, smiling back. "Ah, well," he says, "My brother's been having trouble sleeping and I was wondering...?"

Ari nods. "There's lots of ways to try and fix that," she says, "I'd have to talk to him, of course."

"Oh, of course!" Gawain says and nods. "Thank you, I just wanted to check before I hauled him up here. It'll make it easier to convince him if I have some sort of answer already. You know."
