"What's that?" Draco peers into the basket.

Armand hands it over. "I found then under my bed. They said they were yours." He can say such an obvious lie with a straight face.

He sees the books then looks wary. "I'm not sure if I should touch them if they were talking to you..."

Armand laughs. "Books say a lot of things but they don't talk."

[dracoslytherin]

He arches an eyebrow. "You don't know wizarding books..."

Armand shakes his head and opens one of the books to show Draco the inscription: To Draco Malfoy from Armand St. Just

"They have voices?"

[dracoslytherin]

He looks at the book, then at the others with interest before replying, "Thank you... Yes. Some do. Some talk back. Some scream. Some try to bite your hand off..."

"I wouldn't want a book that bites. Talking books may be interesting."

[dracoslytherin]

"Not when they insult you or refuse to open."

[sweariwontdie]

"Why would a book not want to be read?"

[dracoslytherin]

He shrugs. "So these are.. Muggle books?" He gives them another look, flicking through the pages curiously.

"Yes," Armand answers brightly. "From a bookstore. Getting them was an adventure."

[dracoslytherin]

"Oh? Why?"

[sweariwontdie]

"Travelling by plothole makes me dizzy."

[dracoslytherin]

"Where did you go? London?"
