When she walks in it is with an air of nobility, straight and proud, her hand resting lightly on the head of her lead dog, a tall, equally noble sighthound with long, curling fur. But it lasts only a moment as she jerks back, realizing that this is not where she was meant to be, revealing instead a pale woman dressed only in a simple deerskin dress, white as her hair. Her black eyes flash with fear and she draws back, causing the dog beside her to bristle, a very low growl starting in her chest. In turn, the six short-haired fleethounds (though these are no where near full grown, that much is obvious; they are still a gangly mass of puppies that try their best to match their leader's grace and fail spectacularly) that were following her gather around the woman's legs, though they look much more curious than protective. "Ossin? Hela? Jobe?!" she calls, voice growing panicked.

Deerskin, from the same titled book by Robin McKinley. I'm afraid there is really no way to play her without spoilers, so I apologize in advance.
