Boredom is contageous

Frustrated wizards of outstanding caliber are formidable indeed. Their power can well unpredictably if left uncontrolled and unrefined by a careless master.

And Howl, for one, is prone to tantrums when things do not go his way. He is very much like a child in so many ways.

He needed to get back to Ingary, for a few minutes at the very least to fetch something rather important. Normally he would be thrilled at this chance to escape for so long from the war and the Witch of the Waste and the countless other things that constantly scared him... but what scared him more was the thought of being so far from Calcifer and the precious part of Howl he held.

What if the fire demon should go out? What if his logs were left unattended or he was doused with water and put out entirely? The death of Calcifer meant the death of Howl, and death was a thing that scared the wizard more than any war or witch. He needed to bring Calcifer to this place, there was nothing more to it.

But there seemed no way to do as much. Try as he might, the Wizard had not been able to move the Mansion to a place where he could get to Ingary and to the fire demon that was so precious to him.

Blankly he stares into the fireplace, hoping for the red-orange flame to turn the green-topped blue hue of the fire demon he normally sat before when in such a state. He is quiet but for the occasional frustrated sigh and miserable mutter while he considers his options, none of them seeming pleasant.

He is, of course, open to decent company and suggestions.
