True to his word, Jareth is at the mansion to fulfill the promise he made of checking up from time to time on the children he's placed with new parents. A sign is tacked prominently in the main room for all to see:

The time has come to see how the young ones are adjusting in their new lives. Please bring them and yourselves to see me in the library.

Typist: Those who have not been given children are also free to bother him, or if anyone else has puppets that are wanting children but unable to have them, they are free to inquire with him.
