Easter Eggs!

Mar 29, 2007 12:34

Helen is sitting in the kitchen She has changed her clothing to something a little more rich, but is, for all purposes, still a boy. The table is littered with tools, jars of dye, and piles of hollowed eggs. She picks one and begins to draw designs onto the shell. Every so often she stops, lets it soak in one of the dyes, removes it, makes more designs, puts it into another dye, and repeats the process. After a while she takes out the now entirely black egg and adds it to her pile of finished eggs, all of which are also black. She looks intensely happy and is singing a little song under her breath.

Anyone who could feel such things would probably notice the amount of unconscious energy/magic/belief in the room. She is just following a tradition, but it is built upon hundreds of generations who came before her and Helen knows, without any doubt, that the world will end if she does not make the eggs.

Feel free to bug her, help her, or just ask what in the world she is doing.
