Terrifying. And yet not at all disagreeable, oddly enough.

"Confusing?"

Not exactly -- I have rarely been uncertain about it -- but certainly strange. It changes so much.

"Hm. So. What are you wishing for then?" He idly rolls his wand in his hand.

*pauses to think -- hadn't really been considering the wish part of all this* . . . Are you capable of healing at all?

"Yes. Well, probably... What's the injury?"

"Three stab wounds and a bullet wound in the arm. They've healed quite a lot since they were first inflicted, but there is only so much Doctor Abernathy can do."

"There's scarring you want removed?"

"Yes. If it is possible, that is."

"Very well. Somewhere private, then--?" Vera is not exactly prone to shyness, but even the boldest of 19th century women is not going to show the scar from a belly wound in public.

"All right. There should be a spare room upstairs," he leads the way and finds a deserted room, ushering her inside.

Vera follows without hesitation, and when the door is closed, removes the bodice of her dress, the movement of one arm a little stiff still due to the damage recently done to it. There are scars from deep stab wounds on each shoulder, and one in her arm where a bullet entered. "There is another just here," she says, indicating over the cloth of her shift where the scar on her belly lies.

He frowns, inspecting the scars then says, "All right. Hold still." He trails his wand slowly over the injuries, muttering some words. After a moment the scarring looks better, fading. The stiffness should now also be gone. "There may be faint scars left," he says. "But it shouldn't be visible unless you look very closely."

"Thank you," she says, examining the spot where the scar on her arm once was. She retrieves her bodice and puts it on again, seeming pleased with the easier movement of her arm. "It's an exceptionally useful talent, isn't it?"
