"The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Ruthenia, in the borderlands." It should be clear from her 'h's which Russians would pronounce as 'g's. Her own accent is an odd mix of Ukrainian and Polish.

Luckily, Michael is bad at picking up that sort of thing, having lived in Russia for only a few years. Also his typist knows nothing about Russia that is not in his book. ^^;; "I have not been there."
