"And what makes you think you'd get in?" Bossuet grins. "Not Paradise as far as I can tell, but no one knows what it is, so call it what you like."

"You!" Clearly, this calls for a tacklehug.

[baldlaigle]

Bossuet hugs back tightly, grinning wider. "You certainly took your time getting here, didn't you?"

"Did I?" Courfeyrac laughs. "It wasn't intentional."

[baldlaigle]

"Well, no matter. You're stuck with us now."

[all_that_grace]

"Dreadful fate. Is everyone here, then?"

[baldlaigle]

"Not everyone, I'm afraid, but quite a few of us."

[all_that_grace]

"That's odd." He pulls back finally, sobering a little. "If one, then all, you'd think. --Under the circumstances."

[baldlaigle]

"Not everyone is here for . . . the same reasons. It's not a place that bothers much with logic."

"Disobliging of it," Courfeyrac murmurs. "What's it like, then?"

"Utterly bizarre, but I like it well enough. It's pleasant, not being dead."
