Tas looks around excitedly, making sure that there aren't any angry wizards nearby. He isn't exactly sure where he is, but he doesn't expect to, since none of the rings that have ever "fallen" into his pouches have brought him to places that he has recognized. "Hello? Anyone home?"

*enter a gypsy woman with a goat* Hello. I don't think I've seen you here before.

"Hi!" He immediately goes over to the goat, and pets it. "I guess I'm new. I like your goat!"

[gypsysorceress]

*smiles* I think she likes you, too. Her name is Djali.

[immune_to_fear]

"Hi, Djali," he says to the goat, then turns to her. "What's your name? Mine's Tasslehoff Burrfoot, but everyone just calls me Tas." He puts out his hand.

[gypsysorceress]

*she shakes the hand held out* My name's Esmeralda. La Esmeralda, if you prefer. Your name is quite interesting, Tas.

"Thank you. I think it's fairly normal. Why is there a 'La' in front of your's though?"

[gypsysorceress]

It's not normal anywhere I've been, but probably I've never been to your home. If so, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I like new places. *she actually considers his question for a moment* I don't know. Perhaps because I'm the only one with it, or something like that?

"I think it's pretty. You probably haven't been to my home. Actually, I haven't been to my home all that recently. I'm from Kendermore, but I've been travelling for a long time. It's not all that interesting, though. In fact, I get bored very easily. I am close personal friends with a god. His name is Fizban, and he likes to make fireballs. I like new places too. What's your home like?"

[gypsysorceress]

*smiles a bit* Thank you. I'm glad you like it. I love travelling, and I think it's incredibly interesting most of the time.

*there is a pause. She frowns a bit* With a God? I've never heard of anyone being friends with a God before, though people claimed that I was friends with the Devil.

I don't have a home. I'm a gypsy. We spend our lives travelling. That way we're always free, like a swallow. But most recently I've been living in Paris, before I came here.

"Yes, Fizban is a god. He doesn't do a good job, though. He's almost set me on fire at least a hundred times. I've never heard of Paris or gypsies. I like the idea of being like a swallow. Do you fly?"
