Parcel for Ron Weasley

Mar 01, 2007 21:56

An unfamiliar owl finds its way to Ron's appartment where she pecks against the window impatiently. Tied around her leg is what appears to be a small parcel and a note. Once untied, the note will simply read "Enlarge me." If the parcel is tapped and enlarged, it will be about a medium sized box. On the wrapping paper are colourful but meaningless doodles: clearly the work of a small child (or several).

Opening the parcel will reveal two things: a card with "Happy Birthday, Daddy" on the envelope, and a fairly basic birthday greeting inside (though again, covered in lots of meaningless-but-colourful doodles) and a picture frame. Inside the picture frame is a standard Wizarding (i.e. moving) picture of two children, sitting up, giggling and trying to reach for something.  Underneath the picture are two sets of small handprints, one in blue and one in pink with two names on it: Arthur and Emma. Completing the image in the frame is a simple (and perhaps somewhat tacky) rhyme:

Sometimes you get discouraged
because I am so small
And because I leave my handprints
All along the wall
But everyday I'm growing
And soon I'll be quite tall
When all those little handprints
will not be seen at all.

So here's a special handprint
just so you can say
This is how my fingers looked
when I put them here today.
