Kate Morgan, Renaissance scholar turned private investigator, has only just arrived and has already encountered the Mansion's bloodier side. Her olive skin is pale, but she's composed enough as she enters the main room with blood on her clothes and without the coffee she'd sought out the kitchen to get.
"Um. Hi, there. Did anyone know there's a corpse in the kitchen? And a woman in desperate need of medical attention?"
Typist: Not a good first experience. Kate is from Leslie Silbert's The Intelligencer. She has also just found the dead body of Alexis Ivanaceivitch and the near-dead one of Vera Sabouroff in the kitchen.
