Roses for a Holiday

Fleurette is all for new holidays that mean people get flowers. Nevermind the meaning. She is in the main room of the Mansion with a basket of cut roses of all colors, giving the blooms to whoever will take them. There is nothing wrong with the blooms except maybe a few thorns on the stems.

Enter Alfred blushing something fierce, dressed out like a little Elizabethan gentleman and holding a bouquet of dried wildflowers behind his back. "U - Um ..."

Fleurette jumps up and down excitedly, nearly dropping the basket, and hugs him. "Alfred! I was afraid you'd gone! How are you?"

He steps back enough to bow -- a little awkwardly, perhaps -- and offer the flowers with a softmeek smile.

She beams, and reaches to take them. "Oh, Alfred, they're lovely! You thought of me when we haven't seen each other for so long?"

"I'm glad I did." And she hugs him again. For some reason, her shyness and standoffishness to other men doesn't apply to Alfred. She completely trusts and adores him.
