The first thing that hit Patrick when he awoke was the intense pain in his forehead. He reached up and touched his forehead, wincing at the sharp stinging that resulted. Some of the blood had tried, but the wound was still fairly fresh.
It took him another minute to realize that he was able to touch his forehead because his shackles were gone. In fact, the cell was gone too. Hell, the whole house had disappeared. Had Pendergast come to the rescue afterall?
"Pendergast?" he croaked out, trying to figure out where he was.
