Prendick watches him sharply, suspiciously. "What is all this?"

"A magick shoppe. What do you desire?"

He gestures, oddly stiltedly. "Something that kills."

Ashley's smile is smooth, unsurprised by the request. "Quick or slow? Painless or terrible?"

"At once."

[raventonbeauty]

"You seek to kill yourself?" Ashley reached beneath the counter, bringing out a small vial of crystal, filled with clear liquid that sparkled in the light. "It won't work, you know. No matter how you kill yourself, people who die here always come back."

"No," Prendick answers guardedly. "There are things here--I want to be safe from them."

[raventonbeauty]

Ashley considered him for a moment, then put the vial away. "If I may advise, killing people will only be a temporary solution. They tend to come back with a vengeance. We do specialize in charms of protection, though how much we can do there depends on how much you can pay."

"I don't care. I want to kill them." His voice takes on the thin edge of hysteria it always gets when he fears he isn't being listened to.

"As you wish." Ashley nodded. "I should fetch my brother Arkady. He knows better than I what things would be suited."
