Should anyone venture into the library they would find David avidly rearranging piles of books and adding new ones onto the shelves. He treats each book with great care and attention and is smiling to himself, obviously enjoying the task at hand.

He would be open to conversation, if anyone were to approach him.

denis, nemesis, david talbot, armand, meleth

Denis is not usually to be found in the library but he is doing some random wandering and comes upon David. He approaches him with a pleasant smile. "Bonjour, monsieur."

David offers a warm smile back.

"Ahh good day Master Denis, and how are you?"

"I am well, monsieur. And you?"

"Very well indeed, thank you."

He puts his hand on Denis' back in an almost protective manner.

He asks hesitantly, more unsure of his request than worried about the person he's asking, but it's there none-the-less. "Do any of those need translating?"

David smiles at him. David himself speaks most known languages and quite a few unknown ones aswell. However he likes to make people feel involved so that is a fact he will overlook.

"Ah Armand, how nice to see you. Why certainly I'm sure there are a few volumes here you could lend an eye to"

"I would appreciate that. You're terribly scholarly yourself aren't you? Do you think we even need translators at the Mansion?" Though Armand is still thinking it would be a benefit to do translations just for ease or comfort.

He chuckles to himself "Yes I have heard that said before, I suppose I am rather, it's in my nature" He shrugs his shoulders a little and looks back towards the books.

"Why certainly I'm sure we do. There is such a wide spectrum of people here and I'm sure a great deal of them would love to be able to devour some of these works" He looks up at Armand with a friendly smile that would make anyone feel comfortable.

Meleth practically lives in the library - and it's been her own personal quest to establish some semblance of order (which, admittedly, is difficult with people borrowing books and returning them to the wrong shelves, plus new books appearing all over the place when there are new arrivals) ever since she arrived, but this -- no. No no no.

Her hair in an untidy bun, she emerges from between the shelves and stands there, for the moment stunned speechless, but clearly not amused.

He looks over to her and gives her a polite nod. Sensing she is not happy with his presence he guards himself a little.

"Good day".

Meleth blushes and looks away, takes a step backward even, before dropping a curtsey.

"My lord, I... what are you doing with those books?!"

He pauses a moment, quietly examining her face and registering her movements. He offers her a reassuring smile. His voice is soft and friendly.

"I'm sorry my dear, I was just adding a few of my own books to the wonderful library here. Apologies, I don't believe we have ever met. I'm David."

He offers out a hand to shake (a hand which he has just discreetly warmed up from the heat of the candle on the desk).

*Drops a very large book in a very dead language on a table somewhere with a really loud smack, and waves in a vaugely wave-y sort of manner*

And upon hearing the book drop David turns his head to see Nemesis. A warm smile soon spreads across his face.

"Nemesis dear! It has been a while."

He moves forward to give her a friendly embrace. Soon his eyes settle on the book she dropped down and to say he looks interested would be rather an understatement.

*Notices the interest* It's in Eteocypriot.

"How are you dear?"

His eyes are still quite transfixed on the book and he is almost salivating to get near it.

"It is??! ....may I?.."
