The girl is garbed in a cracked leather overcoat, a Homburg style hat settled over russet hair and dipped over her dark eyes which are memorizing the place, tracing every exit, every inch of her

Here is a robot. A robot dog, who used to be a detective, who is in very bad need of a cigarette. The dog tries to growl in frustration, but it comes out mostly as a blip. But he does take in the new arrival, mentally filing her for later. Assuming there was a later.

Sam Spade has had quite enough of magic. He is pretty cute though, currently.

He is indeed and she crouches to be more level with the thing. "Well. You're a new one. You one of Redd's creations?" Why yes, it seems perfectly logical to her that the thing will talk back.

The dog clearly understands her, shaking his head in the negative. Spade would love to oblige her expectation, but when he opens his mouth, all that escapes is an electronic bark. His tail, however, does droop a bit.

She pats his head. "Good. You're a bit too cute for what she has designs on, aren't you? Then again she has the Cat."

Spade tilted his robotic puppy head. He had no idea who either Redd or the Cat were, and would normally have been curious enough to find out. However, at the moment, his powers of observation are limited, to put it mildly. With another frustrated "woof," he headed off, deciding to keep an eye out for the girl if he ever regained the ability to ask questions.

And she smiles in amusement and continues on her way as well.
