Water where there should be none

----Wonderland----

Somewhere just outside of Wondertropolis bordering the Whispering Woods and the Everlasting Forest, there is a place known commonly as the Pool of Tears. It is not your ordinary body of water -- It is said the Pool leads to worlds outside Wonderland, though no one can be certain if this is true. After all, no one who had ever had the misfortune of falling in had ever come back.

It is on a ledge over looking the Pool of Tears that a young man stands. He is tall, only twenty years old though by all appearances far older. His eyes were simple and almond-shaped, his disheveled hair an ordinary brown color of no great difference from that of any other Wonderlander. While his nose has obviously been broken (perhaps more than once), the most distinguishing feature upon his battle-torn face is a set of four long, ragged parallel scars across his cheek.

Dodge Anders stands over the Pool of Tears, gazing into its depths in respectful silence. In a sudden fit of anger brought on by grief, he kicks at a rock near the edge, sending it spiraling into the depths of the Pool. This simple movement should not have caused any greater action... but the next thing Dodge knew, his center of gravity left him and he was falling deeper and deeper into the Pool of Tears.

----The Mansion----
Drip. Drip.

In a shadowed corner of the Mansion, on some floor or another a small puddle is forming from a steady drip of water from a nondescript source above it. If one were to look closely at this puddle, one might see it is no ordinary puddle at all.

It is from out of this puddle Dodge Anders, proud Alyssian of Wonderland, tumbles flung out by some unseen force and landing nearby with as much grace as possible considering the circumstance (which, for the record, is very little). He is on his feet now, sopping wet and looking around in a bit of a daze.

What strange new world had the Pool take him to?

Typist: ^^ By request and because I have absolutely no self control, Dodge Anders from Frank Beddor's The Looking Glass Wars. And yes, he just appeared out of a puddle. Feel free to gawk at my caffeine-induced character entrance!
