A Wandering Lestat

Having made his way out of the tower undetected, Lestat has decided to wander the halls of the Mansion properly, and see who he can meet along. He whistles a tune mindlessly to himself, hands shoved in his pockets and looks at everything with childish curiosity

Having left Lilli in Helena Landless' care for the time being (because we need not confuse Lestat with that, yet), Nicki is out for a bit of a stroll. He smiles and kisses Lestat's cheek, "Hello, darling."

This actually quite surprises him, and he stares at Nicki blankly for a few moments, before flushing quickly. "H-hello yourself, I'm guessing you know me as well then?" he smiles, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. It was hard not to notice how very attractive Nicki is, and he was trying not to ogle him openly.

"Of course I know you, Lestat." He frowned slightly, "I live with you, after all. What's the matter with you today?"

[devilish_prince]

His eyes widen and he flushes even more. "I... I live with you? Don't I... don't I live with David? Oh my... this is confusing..." He closes his eyes, rubbing his temple, beginning to understand why it might have been best to wait for David before venturing out on his own.

"You live with the both of us. You and David and Lilli and I..." Nicki studied Lestat with a concerned experssion, "You don't remember...?"

[devilish_prince]

"You -and- David -and- Lilli? Who's Lilli?" He laughs at the silliness of the situation, shaking his head. "I suppose it would make sense to say that first, wouldn't it? Ah Lestat, you damnable creature. I've no memory, monsieur, that's the easiest way to put it, I suppose."

He doesn't mention that he's human again, as he doesn't remember he was ever a vampire.

"... Nicolas. I'm Nicolas de Lenfent. We grew up together, Lestat. You don't remember any of that?"

[devilish_prince]

Lestat smiles sympathetically and shakes his head. "I'm sorry, Nicolas, but I don't. We grew up together, you say? Boyhood friends? Is that why we share a living space?"

Something rings oddly about that question though. No, friends don't call you 'darling', do they?

"Friends, yes... and then lovers, in Paris." He bit his lip, feeling a blush creep up on him.

[devilish_prince]

Lestat's cheeks flush as well and he chuckles, averting his gaze. "Yes, I can see why I would do that. You're quite attractive, you know." He cocks his head and looks at him thoughtfully. "Mais... we're not lovers -now- are we?"

"We're lovers of a sort, yes." He blushed deeper, but smiled. "I suppose I -- you're with both David and I. We have... I don't know what it is we have."

[devilish_prince]

Lestat nods, taking this information in stride. "I suppose David did not have time to tell you then. All three of us? What a curious arrangement!" He laughs, thoroughly amused at these recent discoveries.

Chewing his lip thoughtfully, he moves closer towards him, a shy smile on his face. "You know... you're rather lovely when you blush like that..."

"You're always lovely, Lestat. But you know that." Nicki touched Lestat's cheek, smiling still. "I've never seen you quite like that. I think I like it."

[devilish_prince]

He blushes even further, lowering his gaze and mumbling something inaudible. After a few moments he looks up at him curiously. "What do you mean you've never seen me quite like this?" He leans into the touch unconsciously and sighs quietly.

"What was that?" Nicki stepped closer, not taking his hand away yet. "I've never seen you... shy. Unsure. It's sweet."

[devilish_prince]

He pouts slightly, then tips up his chin with a stubborn smirk. "I'm not unsure! Not in the least. See, I'll prove it." And with that he leans over and kisses his cheek impulsively.

"There," he says smugly, sure that action proved his confidence without a doubt.
