A Wandering Lestat

Having made his way out of the tower undetected, Lestat has decided to wander the halls of the Mansion properly, and see who he can meet along. He whistles a tune mindlessly to himself, hands shoved in his pockets and looks at everything with childish curiosity

"Hey, Lestat!" Sweeney jogs a few paces to catch up and gives him a friendly thump on the back. "How ya been, man?"

Lestat blinks at Sweeney for a few moments before grinning widely. "I've been well, thank you! This is wonderful, the first person I meet knows me! And what is your name?"

Sweeney blinks right back. "Forgotten your old pal Mad Sweeney, have you? How much have you been drinking, old fella?"

[devilish_prince]

"Not forgotten intentionally, I'm sure. But it seems that I've suffered some sort of amnesia. Can't remember anything at all. David has been taking care of me but... I decided to wander around a bit, see if I couldn't remember something on my own, oui?" he winks mischievously. "It's terribly boring to be stuck in a tower day and night, you know."

"Yeah, I can't fucken stand being shut up in a place." Since amnesia is more or less par for the course at the Mansion, Sweeney takes it in stride. He pulls out a pack of Lucky Strikes and Lestat's lighter. "Ya want a cigarette, man?"

"Oh? Do I smoke?" He asks with interest, looking at the lighter curiously. "That's quite an extravagant lighter, isn't it?"

[mad_leprechaun]

"Bit over the top for me, yeah." With a grin he lights a cigarette for himself. "But it was a gift from a friend. Here ya go, man." He offers one to Lestat and flicks on the lighter again. "You smoke when you're with me, how's that?"

[devilish_prince]

"That was nice of them to give you," he smiles, taking a cigarette and putting it between his lips. Inhaling instinctively, his face turns red and he coughs loudly, pressing a hand to his chest. "... perhaps I am out of practice."

He looks at the cigarette with determination and attempts to take another drag. Although he still coughs, it's less than the first time, and he looks around in amusement. "This isn't so bad..."

"Yeah, real nice..." But his coughing has set off alarm bells in Sweeney's head. He circles Lestat, taking him in from all angles then coming back around front to breath whiskey breath in his face as he peers closely at those rosy cheeks. "Well, fuck me... Lestat, you old devil, what have you done to yourself?"

[devilish_prince]

Lestat smirks at him and laughs. "What do you mean, Sweeney? It is Sweeney, oui? I'm just putting tar in my lungs, because apparently it's what I do when I'm with you!" He takes another drag, blowing out the smoke slowly, and only the smallest cough as he finishes exhaling.

[mad_leprechaun]

"Nah, there's something weird going on here..." He sniffs loudly in Lestat's face then pulls away to take a meditative drag on his cigarette. "But I'll be damned if I can figure it out." He shrugs. "And yeah, Sweeney's fine."

[devilish_prince]

"Yes, I'd agree with you that something very strange is going on. But then again, without a memory, everything seems very strange," he grins widely, all teeth and no fangs. "It should probably bother me, shouldn't it? But it doesn't."

[mad_leprechaun]

Sweeney does a double take at the grin and frowns. "Something's different. Don't suppose you remember getting any dental work done recently, do ya?" He's almost put his finger on it. "Or did dinner get frisky and knock 'em out? That would explain the amnesia..."

[devilish_prince]

"Did dinner get frisky?" Lestat laughs, not understanding what he means. "Bien, I've eaten little meat since I woke up. Bread, cheese and wine, your basic staples."

[mad_leprechaun]

"Is that so? Don't you ever get thirst for something a little more... salty?" Sweeney 'subtly' tilts his head to one side, revealing a day's worth of stubble and his jugular. "And red, mebbe?"

[devilish_prince]

He smiles at him cluelessly, having no idea what drink he could be referring to. "... red wine, you mean? But wine isn't salty. Then again, perhaps you are thinking of something else?"
