one Christmas in Camelot King Arthur sat...

It's Christmas, and so it's only natural that there's a Christmas feast laid out. Arthur has seen to this. There's enough for everyone to eat well: a meal truly fit for a king-- several kinds of fowl, hams, vegetable dishes, casseroles, sides, and an entire table of desserts. Bottles of wine, champagne, mead, and beer sit unopened and waiting, and to one side there's several kinds of non-alcoholic cider and juice for the minors. Stacks of crystal dishes and crystal glasses wait to be used.

Christmas ought to come with gifts and Arthur has seen to this as well. There's something for every one of his family members and for all of his illustrious knights. Many others who have met Arthur, especially those who represent other kingdoms, will also receive gifts. They're vastly varied-- woodwork, metal work, finery, leather work, foreign imports, whatever is more appropriate to the recipient.

"Come, friends," says the warrior king with a smile. "We have all been to mass and said our blessings, our prayers, and now let us celebrate amongst ourselves." He stands behind the middle seat at the high table, hand rested on the chair back. "Should anyone give entertainments, let them come now, before I sit to eat." He'll serve himself last, as is his custom at court, and in the meanwhile he grins and waits for whatever's to come. He's no longer so young as he was when the green knight rode into his hall and challenged him to sport, but a story, a song, none of this will go unappreciated.

Typist: Christmas feast. :D And for everyone who's receiving gifts, and that's anyone who wants one, feel free to choose something as you open it. XD
