"There are frogs," Dil informs her, with great solemnity, "By the lake. They might lift thy boredom."

She pulls a face. "Mmm. Big ones?"

"And small!" Dil says, blissfully contemplating the wonders of amphibian life before pulling her attention back to Ilse.

"And there is a great goose," Dil says, with an air of imparting vast and cosmic knowledge, "A very great and clever goose, who guards his lady closely!"
