Hear me out, please.
I am very in love with Jessica Freitag. There is a reason that I would give up everything to be closer to her. This week has been very difficult for both of us. She met my family and came off like a sailor. I met her family and came off as cock loving Christ hater. These are hurdles that both of us have to find a way to jump. Our families mean a lot to us, and we both did our best to keep everyone involved happy, and in the end, no one was.
I realized a few things this week. First off, what I want more than anything in the world is for Jessica to be happy and comfortable for the rest of her life. I will do everything in my power to see that happen. Second, we both have some great friends. Thank you all for your support.
But if you support me, please don't attack her. If you support her, don't attack me. It just hurts the people you are trying to protect. I know that some of you think that she is trying to control me, and that's just not true. Some of you think that this is just the first step to my becoming an asshole to her. That's not true, either.
And just for the record, she did everything in her power to stick up for me during the encounter with her family. But it was hard for her, and that's fine, because if it was an argument..... I won. As Sarah Japuntich would say "One point, Team Dayton".
Keep in mind during all of this, that some day I hope that Jaf is a Dayton, too.
These are just growing pains. We are much better now.
