What an interesting week.

I received a call yesterday from Israel. I applied for a grant from the government when Timmy died and I had nothing to look forward to. The agency booked me a flight on El Al from New York to Tel Aviv on the 27th of December. When I get there, there will be a huge check waiting at the NBN office with my name on it because I qualified for the grant. I would get a free place to stay in an absorbtion center in Jerusalem for 6 months. From there, I would be scheduled to stay on a kibbutz Ulpan, where my Hebrew would be polished over the next few months for the next step: A job that they will give me in Jerusalem. While there, I would be able to attend Hebrew University to major in Political Science, which, if you have listened to anything I have said since I returned in the first place, is precisely what I have wanted the whole time. My dream has finally come to fruition,

but.....

"What about the little Shiksa?"

Indeed.

What do you do when two of your dreams are realized at once? When you are forced to choose one?

You choose the girl, of course.

I love you, honey.

I have found home. And I'm going there. To you.

nefesh b'nefesh, love, home, aliyah, kibbutzim, dreams
