Karyu definitely went by Yoshitaka at some point, because in his former band, that was what he was called. Whether or not that, too, is a stage name, isn't for sure.
I know the website you got that information from, though. It might be true! But who can prove it?
I've always thought that was um, a [band name?]just because Yoshitaka was a historical figure in Japan's history. (I think Yoshitaka was a famous samurai?) But I could be wrong.
The last names -may- be off, but these are my best guesses. Original kanji comes from the posted and accepted kanji on the real names thread on either 2ch or 83ch.

顆粒(karyu)=末村嘉隆 Matsumura Yoshitaka
零(zero)=清水道 Shimizu Michi
司(tsukasa)=太田けんじ Oota Kenji
