"...and then I'll be back home..."

So, yesterday we went and performed at Pageant. We took second (we lost to Sandia), and we got People's Choice, Best Brass and Best Percussion. Some people were disappointed, but I'm not. I'm thrilled. We're in division 4A this year, and it's the first time, I believe in the history of Pageant that we were in 4A (every other year we've been 3A). My freshman and sophomore years, we couldn't even compete in 3A, and we were owned by Farmington. Now, we're a competative marching band that actually stands up to Sandia. And personally, I think we're even better than Sandia and that the only reason they won was because they can afford expensive stuff for their color guard. I'm thrilled to be a part of something that has come so far because of hard work and perseverance.

Then today, my other band (Sheep Parade) recorded some demos. We still don't have a bass player, and we're hoping the demos will get someone interested. They sound okay, but I was worn out by the time we started recording, so some of the vocals sound strained, and the horn solos aren't up to par. Still, as soon as I get them, I hope to put them online somewhere so people can listen to them.
