Cycling

Not mine this time. Izzy has managed to ride her bike without stabilisers for the first time today, so I am very proud. By the end of half an hour she was tearing round Tesco's car park like she'd been doing it for, well, months at least.

Hi Paul,

Great diary!

I have an email for Elaine but the edsp@fsmail.net link on her birthing website doesn't seem to be working.
Would you mind forwarding it to her for me? (I have attached it below)

Thank you & see you on the playground in Sept!

Great website Elaine!

Hi love,

I used to love cycling (before the littlees came along) and having done some research since you mentioned the existence of turbo trainers, I think it might be the way forward for me to burn-off some excess calories & resume a programme of fitness until I can get out on the roads!

The only problem I'm finding is that there are so many different varieties available (fluid, magnetic etc) & to save me spending hours on my butt trawling the net (not exactly high-impact exercise!) I would be vary grateful for any advice you have to offer.....?

eg, what sort do you have? whether you'd particularly recommend a specific sort? and any you would avoid like the plague? (I would like a machine with variable resistance I think to challenge me now as a beginner & later-on when my level of fitness is higher without having to buy a new one. It should also not be too noisy.)

I'd appreciate any comments you have,
many thanks
Jaqui
