One to remember
I went to get some dollars as I am going to visit my sister in Bermuda soon and was checking the rates on the front of the travel shops. The last shop didn't have a board up so I went in to ask what the rate was. '1.36' comes the reply. Ok, says I, I will head back down the road and visit your competitor whose board said 1.39. so suddenly, the lass doing the selling has a quick rethink and taps her computer a few times. 'We can do 1.395 if that's any good,' says she.
I never realised you could negotiate with ForEx sellers before. I will remember this one...
All I need to hope for now is that swine flu doesn't reach Bermuda by Thursday. Or that they don't decide to lock the gates to keep the rest of the world out.
