Bronchitis.. yay.. and battlestar philip glass

So the nagging cold I've had for about a month now, has somewhere along the line turned into Bronchitis. .... So I'm working from home for the next couple days... doctors orders... get plenty of rest, and no exercise... The doctor seems to think my jogging and hockey playing each week is not helping (and it hasn't been easy to keep exercising right now, but I thought it might be helping... turns out I was wrong)...

On the suggestion of a couple people, websites, and newspaper reviews etc. I had started watching battlestar galactica. The opening mini series is pretty cool, and should be watched before you get half way through the first season... The first season is ok... but there is something very dark about this show.

I'm a fan of most sci-fi shows and movies, ya a geek, but most are positive or least show what good mankind can do. This show, is so dark and creepy. The human race is all but wiped out in an attack by machines humans made, in that first mini series, and then the rest of the shows are based on the remaining 40,000 humans running away from the machines that want to wipe out all life. Its very desperate and very dark.

I started watching the second season today and the stories have taken a much darker feel, an the 2nd episode had this piano solo playing over it that was so perfect for it... I had to find out what it was and listen to it again. Turns out it is by Philip Glass. Its pretty simple and repetitive, but is great, and has this feeling of hope being burnt out.
