Many of my entries used to be public, and I had some idea that people who I didn't want to read them were reading them. I simply used the mass security tool to friends-lock all my entries, then used my tags to find specific entries that I wanted to remain public, and edited their security individually.

So: "mass-flock", or friends-lock en masse.

Mmm...well some of my friends don't have LJ's but read my journal, also it's more my past entries that I wish to block rather than my current ones (so, for example, a lot of 2006 is blocked).
