Haigh's is your friend

The Easter weekend started out as a laid-back affair  - both my sister and mother went to Lake Maquarie for the Easter long weekend sailing competition leaving the house eerily quiet (and mess free strangely enough).

The week leading up was relaxing too, I only had 2 days of classes and I started work up at the local cafe - earning enough to fuel my ongoing book/comic/manga addiction.
Although I did happen to go to The Royal Easter Show, Murphy's law decided to attack me and the day was wet drizzly and not ideal for taking photos!
Although I did happen to get some good shots:
You can see a pattern, can't you?
(I did take more at the RSES of other things but I didn't like them as nearly as much)

Deuc e mailed me which was really nice - I hardly chat to her as much as I used to - but she seems to be enjoying her time in NZ :)

I made lunch for dad and I the other day - Blanced bean salad tossed in olive oil, salt, pepper and seeded mustard with spicy stir-fried baby octopus and prawn. Nom nom nom!

But before that, we went out to see a movie together - Brick Lane. He thought it was a light hearted, perhaps even a comedic film but it turned out to be much darker than expected. Although, the juxtaposition between England and India was great - sort of like The Little Princess but more emotional than magical (you can tell I'm not in the 'movie review' mood, no?)

This was then followed by, the next day, seeing The Other Boleyn Girl with Lucy - it wasn't an entirely memorable film suffice to say and the plot line was simple and lacking in depth and interest (although it was the life and times of Boleyn girls 1 + 2 so you really couldn't expect dinosaurs with lasers or anything. Unless it was a Micheal Bay film).
