whee, and a fun time was had by all yesterday...not. Irene came to us as a tropical storm but she wasn't gonna let go without leaving her calling card. Rain, floods, lotsa wind, water spouts, tornado watches and power outages. Last I heard about 600k across Massachusetts with the lights out, I was one of the -very- lucky ones.
Vermont had horrible flash floods, storm related deaths stand at 32 (One of those a surfer who didn't stay out of the water when he was told to...too stupid to live). But all in all, I suppose it could have been much worse.
Thanks to all the people that called to check on me yesterday!
